Management Accountant

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Finance team.

This is a key role responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, financial control and analysis across the organisation

The Role

The successful candidate will take ownership of allocated cost centres providing Finance business partner support to the business Sections.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering timely and accurate month-end and year-end processes
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting
• Ensuring accurate accounting in accordance with UKGAAP & FRS102
• Overseeing bank reconciliations and weekly payment runs
• Supporting VAT returns, accounts preparation, audit requirements and P11D submissions

The role also requires regular engagement with senior stakeholders and providing financial insight that supports strategic objectives.

The Person

Applicants must be either Qualified or actively studying ACCA/CIMA with the intention of becoming qualified within 2 years.

• A high level of accuracy and ownership in financial delivery
• Strong analytical capability and commercial awareness
• The confidence to influence and support senior management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
